Stovers Liquidation’s View on Carrying Weapons In Our Stores

Wow! While we typically try not to get involved in these “Hot Button Topics”, we do have a lot of clientele that carry a concealed weapon every day in our stores. While we in no way, form, or fashion condone any act of violence, we also believe that it is your prerogative to decide what is best for you & your family.

Concealed Carry & Open Carry are both very common in Tennessee, & we assume that upwards of 50% of our daily clientele carry a weapon every day. As a permit holder myself, I sincerely hope that the training that is provided to CC Permit Applicants is continually strengthened & becomes more intense. I believe that there are current permit holders in this state that should receive more hands-on training than they actually do, as carrying a weapon comes with great responsibility. I do believe, however, that if you are properly trained, have a clear understanding of all safety protocols, and exercise with integrity & sensibility….. then by all means you have the right to carry a concealed weapon. The point is, while it is not for everyone, Stovers Liquidation welcomes Legal Permit Holders to carry in our locations with no reservation.

*Food for Thought*

We all have a family to come home to at the end of every day. We can all agree that we live in a world that is continually deteriorating, but I believe we all have hope & faith that a brighter day is around the corner. While we keep our sights on a better world, we should not be naïve enough to forget that this world can become a very dark and scary place in the blink of an eye. We all plan on returning home this evening, to all that we love, & if a concealed weapon is the insurance that is required to do that, then so be it. We are all aware that we have different views on this topic, & we believe that everyone’s views are worthy of respect & consideration. We wish you a safe & prosperous day & most importantly a safe return to that place you call “Home”.
